LIMERICK gardaí were last night on full alert in Moyross as the body of stab victim Darren Bennett was brought to the local Corpus Christi parish church.

An elite squad of armed gardaí was today drafted into a Limerick housing estate to keep the peace after a teenager was stabbed to death.

A man in his early 20s is recovering in hospital following a shooting in the north side of Limerick city this morning.
