Only one service in Cork met all its punctuality targets last year.

An exhumation will take place shortly in the grounds of Cork Prison in the hope of discovering and identifying the remains of War of Independence volunteer Thomas Kent.

The planned redevelopment of Kent railway station, in Cork City, is the subject of a new application by Irish Rail.

Cork's main railway terminal is closed this evening following a gas leak, Irish Rail has said.
