The shots were reportedly fired at a residence in Corboy, Edgeworthstown, on February 4 around 10.30pm and also yesterday afternoon around 12.10pm.

Both incidents occurred in the Edgeworthstown area between last night and the early hours of this morning.

Three people were killed in accidents on the roads in counties Cork, Longford, and Mayo over the weekend.

The N4 Dublin to Longford Rd has reopened at Cloonahussey following an earlier security alert in the Corboy area.
