Ammunition and pipe bombs thought to be linked to the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA) have been seized in Belfast.

Police in the North have confirmed today that members of the on-ceasefire Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) were responsible for the murder of a man shot dead in front of stunned shoppers.

A man was shot dead on the Shankill Road in Belfast today. The victim, believed to be in his mid 40s, was gunned down at point-blank range in the staunchly loyalist area shortly before 1pm.
