University College Cork is to open a 4,000-student strong Business School in Cork city centre in what is another huge boost for the region.

One of the best remaining, compact prime redevelopment sites in Cork city has been sold for over €7 million, for 0.63 of an acre, or for the equivalent of €11 million per acre, to Dublin-based purchasers.

A new tourist train is set to roll through the streets of Cork city from next month, thanks to a €100,000 public investment which includes a €10,000 grant to cover large insurance costs.
