As a parent of a child with autism and four other children, I would like to express my dismay at the article by Tony Humphreys (Feelgood, Feb 3), claiming that myself and other such parents, “live predominantly in their heads and possess few or no heart qualities”.

EXTENDING a helping hand to others was part of Irish culture when I was a child.
