At least 11 people have died in one Tanzanian town in the 5.7-magnitude earthquake that shook the Lake Victoria region, while the president says that many are dead.

A ferry carrying passengers and cargo on Lake Victoria has capsized and 28 people are missing and feared dead, Tanzanian police said today.
