THE lunatics have clearly taken over the asylum as evidenced by the diversion of the Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens flight in the US (Irish Examiner, September 23).

FINALLY sanity is about to prevail on our banana republic’s road traffic ‘management’ system with the recent announcement of a ‘seamless’ integration of distances and speeds on Irish roads.
