Heavy monsoon rains smashed three homes in western India, killing 17 occupants yesterday as flooding caused hunger and homelessness across South Asia, affecting millions of people.
AT least 21 people have been killed in torrential rains which destroyed mud homes and washed away 50,000 hectares (123,500 acres) of farmland in the western Indian state of Gujarat.
