The Menu’s annual accolades saluting the people and achievements that stood out in Ireland’s culinary calendar in 2016.

Should you be looking for The Menu in the coming weeks then he shall mostly be found atop Neidín, roaming the wonderful wilds of West Cork with a knife in his belt and a skillet on his back for the Taste of West Cork Food Festival (Sept 9-18).

The poor old Menu can hardly sleep with excitement, praying this is the year he fights off sleep long enough to finally meet Santa — that, of course, and the humungous preparations for the Christmas dinner. 

While The Menu has dragged offspring around a few ‘open farms’ in his time, he usually ends up in a staring match with an equally bored animal, both largely marking time.
