Gardaí are investigating after a man was stabbed in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

The trial of a Dublin man accused of membership of an illegal organisation has been adjourned after a Garda Chief Superintendant failed to affirm whether he believed the man was a member of the IRA within the State.

A south Dublin man who slashed four neighbours with a knife told gardaí he had smoked cannabis beforehand and had been smoking it every night for about 20 years.
