THE Blarney teenager who stabbed his uncle to death last year was jailed for six years yesterday as the sentencing judge spoke out on the depressingly large number of knife killings committed by the very young in Ireland.

THE judge who is due to sentence the Blarney teenager who stabbed his uncle to death expressed his concern yesterday about “a most improper communication” which he received in relation to the matter.

A teenager was charged with murder today in relation to the fatal stabbing of a man in Blarney, Co Cork, over two months ago.
