The largest office building in Cork’s Airport Business Park has been sold to an investor, for just over €5.5 million – and, it is likely to be offered to the rapidly expanding international communications company Newsweaver, whose global HQ is already at the Airport Park.

BOTH the Parknasilla Hotel and the Cork International Airport Hotel have overseas buyers, the first in legals, the second sold to Phillips Hotels Ltd for approximately €5m. So Savills’ successful run of sales shows it’s not just the Dublin hotel market (where the 500 bed Burlington’s selling for €70 m to the private equity group Blackstone) that’s attracting investors.

LOGITECH is the latest new arrival into the 750,000 sq ft Cork Airport Business Park, where 55,000 sq ft of deals have been finalised since summer, and where book-selling giant Amazon is committing to further space.
