Google has offered an early glimpse of its new Pixel smartphone, featuring a camera bar to house its improved sensors and lenses.

Discontinuing face unlock and reverting back to a fingerprint sensor on the Pixel smartphone is “a good trade-off” to enable other premium features, a Google product manager has said.

Google is preparing to reveal its first 5G-enabled smartphones later this year. The firm will make its next set of devices compatible with the high-speed network technology, in the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G.
