Indonesian police today announced the arrests of four suspects in the suicide bombing at the Australian Embassy – the first major breakthrough in an investigation into the deadly attack.

Defence lawyers were today considering an appeal against the death sentence for the Islamic militant convicted in last year’s deadly Bali terrorist attacks, even though their client has repeatedly said he wants to become a martyr.

INDONESIAN Islamic leaders said yesterday they had no reason to object to a death sentence given to Amrozi, the first man found guilty of involvement in the Bali bombing.
