Knockara Beau is set for a trip to Aintree following an impressive victory in the Grade Two totepool Premier Kelso Hurdle at the Borders venue.

Charlie Mann may skip the Cheltenham Festival with his exciting novice Wendel and instead go for the totepool Premier Kelso Novices’ Hurdle on February 28.

Charlie Mann was staggered at Wendel's starting price of 10-1 as his German import made a pleasing debut over hurdles on a murky afternoon at Plumpton.
