SOUTH AFRICAN prosecutors are expected to drop corruption charges against ruling ANC party leader Jacob Zuma, paving the way for him to become state president next month, the Sunday Independent newspaper reported.

SOUTH AFRICA’S prosecuting authority will charge national police chief and head of Interpol JackieSelebi with corruption, a spokes- man said last night.

SOUTH African prosecutors said yesterday they had obtained an arrest warrant for national police chief and Interpol president Jackie Selebi, as one of his friends appeared in court on murder charges.
