Five Irish boxers will be involved in quarter-finals bouts at the final Olympic qualifier for European boxers in Athens, Greece today.

DARREN SUTHERLAND moved another step closer to fulfilling his Olympic dream when he made it through to the quarter-finals of the qualifying tournament in Athens last evening with an emphatic 27-7 victory over the Norwegian southpaw, Eneste Glodi.

Irish flyweight Conor Ahern and middleweight Darren Sutherland both won their preliminary round bouts at the final AIBA Olympic qualifier for European boxers in Athens, Greece today.
