A MAN on his way to work yesterday morning was violently stabbed by a man carrying a screwdriver in an unprovoked attack near Cork City Hall, it was alleged in court yesterday.

A CITY councillor was given the red card for trying to discuss organising an outdoor event when Cork confers the Freedom of the City on Roy Keane and Sonia O’Sullivan next month.
