The S10 Subaru of Monaghan's Niall Maguire, who was co-driven by Enda Sherry, had too much power and pace for their rivals on today's Auburn Lodge Clare Rally.

Surviving an off road excursion on the opening stage that damaged the front of his Subaru WRC and suffering two punctures on the third stage, Maynooth's, Kevin Barrett, made a superb recovery to win the Galway Summer Rally, the eighth round of the Dunlop National Rally Championship.

The outcome of the Fels Points Hotel Circuit of Kerry Rally, the third round of the Dunlop National Rally Championship, went right down to the eighth and final stage.

Patrick Elliott (Subaru WRC) secured the Dunlop National Rally Championship with a start to finish victory in today’s Athenry based Loughrea Plant Sales Galway Summer Rally, the eight round of the series.

Setting the pace on the first of today’s eight stages, Cavan’s, Patrick Elliott (Subaru WRC), who was co-driven by Paul Goodman, won the Circuit of Munster Rally, the fifth round of the Dunlop National Rally Championship.
