THE main Muslim organisations in the country are to set up a representative body to deal directly with the Government and other State agencies.

A NUMBER of mainstream Muslim organisations yesterday issued a joint statement condemning claims by a Muslim religious leader that extremism was rife among young Irish Muslims.
