Ireland’s eventing pony riders lifted double gold and a bronze medal at the European Championships in Fontainebleau, France, yesterday to crown a magnificent weekend for Irish equestrian sport.

Sixteen-year-old Joseph O'Brien today won a bronze individual eventing medal at the European Pony Championships in Moorsele, Belgium.

THE swamp fever outbreak that hit the country last year is officially at an end. This week, the Department of Agriculture announced that the last restrictions on premises imposed as a result of last year’s outbreak were being lifted.
