Field sizes for a number of key events at the Cheltenham Festival this year are to be reduced following a review with the British Horseracing Authority’s senior inspector.

Monday’s meeting at Southwell will now be run solely on the all-weather after the five scheduled races on the turf were abandoned due to the prospect of heavy ground.
