Storm Frank arrived with a vengeance off the west coast yesterday, causing disruption from counties Cork to Donegal as gale-force winds, heavy rain, and high tides, battered many parts of the country.

In the full teeth of Storm Frank, the Kerry Mountain Rescue team had to make their way up Carrauntoohil, Ireland’s highest mountain, to bring down an injured climber.
