Officials at Racing Victoria are confident the outbreak of Equine Influenza will not prevent European horses travelling to Australia for the AUS$5m (€3m) Emirates Melbourne Cup.

A host of British and Irish trainers including Aidan O’Brien have set their sights on Melbourne’s Carlton Draught Cox Plate on October 27 according to the initial entry list which was revealed today.
