Actors Warren Beatty and Whoopi Goldberg have paid tribute to Marlon Brando at a black-tie gala awards ceremony and benefit for the famed acting school where the late two-time Oscar winner once studied.

MARLON BRANDO, the reclusive Oscar-winning actor who was one of the most influential stage and screen performers of his generation, has died aged 80, associates said yesterday.
