US Army reservist Charles Graner, the reputed ringleader of a band of rogue guards at Baghdad’s notorious Abu Ghraib prison, was convicted tonight of abusing Iraqi detainees.

A 10-MAN jury was selected yesterday in the military trial of the accused ringleader in the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal, Specialist Charles Graner.

DEFENCE lawyers for soldiers on trial in the Iraqi prisoner abuse case won permission yesterday to question two top American generals, and the military judge ordered that the Abu Ghraib prison not be torn down because it is a crime scene.
