An investigator with the Royal Military Police today denied having “watered down” statements from paratroopers who opened fired on Bloody Sunday.

A FORMER paratrooper said yesterday he fabricated his original eyewitness account of the Bloody Sunday shootings that put soldiers in a positive light.

The Bloody Sunday Tribunal in Derry has refused an application by two British soldiers for the right to be screened from public view when they testify at the inquiry.
