ntl Ireland has been sold by its US parent company to MS Irish Cable Holdings, in a deal worth €325m.

CABLE TV operator NTL has sold its Irish operation for €325 million.

ntl today announced that it has completed the sale of its telecommunications operations in the Republic of Ireland to MS Irish Cable Holdings, an affiliate of Morgan Stanley, for €325m.

Cable operators Ntl and Telewest are heading towards agreement on their long-awaited £5.5bn (€8.1m) merger, it was reported today.

ntl has slashed losses from £192.4m (€276.6m) in 2003 to £39m (€56m) in 2004, and improvement of 79.7%.
