LEEDS’ acting-chairman Trevor Birch has been given just another seven days to find the funds which will prevent the club falling into the hands of administrators.

DEMONSTRATORS gathered outside one of the country’s leading medical school yesterday to protest against the granting of an academic award to the prime minister of Bahrain.

LEEDS have played down speculation the club is to receive a cash injection from multi-millionaire Sheikh Al-Khalifa. The sheikh, one of the wealthiest men in the United Arab Emirates, attended Sunday’s Premiership game against Newcastle at Elland Road but the club insist no deals have been made.
