Aidan O’Brien’s Moth looked an incredibly exciting filly at the Curragh on her reappearance and, on the strength of the performance, connections decided to spend the £30,000 to supplement the filly for tomorrow’s Qipco 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

A run in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 19 remains the likely “first preference” for Frankel, trainer Sir Henry Cecil said.

FRANKEL again impressed Newmarket work-watchers yesterday morning and is set to go off at long odds-on in next week’s St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
