THE husband of murder victim Meg (Margaret) Walsh, whose body was recovered from a river in Waterford last year, was yesterday charged with her murder.

GARDAÍ in Waterford will this morning launch a fresh appeal for information in tracing the final movements of murdered mother-of-one Margaret (Meg) Walsh.

“ALL we want to do now is to get Meg home to our parents and give her the final send-off she deserves,” a tearful James Walsh said yesterday as he prepared to leave Waterford after a 12-day search for his sister ended with the discovery of her body.

Gardaí will this evening carry out a reconstruction of the events leading up to the disappearance of Waterford woman Meg Walsh.

The results of a post mortem on the body of missing Waterford woman Margaret 'Meg' Walsh are expected later today.

The family of a 35-year-old woman who has been missing for almost two weeks have appealed for anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.
