King of the Claddagh Michael Lynskey and his community took to the Galway waterside at the weekend to welcome home a workboat which plied the Atlantic during two world wars.

THE ambition to succeed in the new World Rally Championship Academy series has prompted young Irish rally star, Craig Breen, to alter his plans for the forthcoming season.

The top two awards in Irish motorsport were announced this afternoon at the Champions of Irish Motorsport Awards at the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport Hotel.

Ulster will take on a Celtic Warriors XV on Friday 27 December at Gibson Park (Malone RFC) at 2pm, in preparation for their Celtic League semi-final match against Munster at Thomond Park on Friday 3 January 2003.
