YET again violent storms forced the cancellation of all racing in Cork harbour’s and so far three races have been held in the Glaxo SmithKline Beecham Winter Series from the Royal Cork with the final race coming up on Sunday.

DESPITE light and variable winds and early tides, 85 boats raced in the Cove SC John McCarthy Motorpoint annual race from Cobh to Blackrock village on the outskirts of Cork City.

GLORIOUS autumnal conditions favoured the Royal Cork Offshore Day and, in a light to moderate south easterly breeze Class One sailed around the Cork Buoy, down to the Bullman Buoy off Kinsale and back to the finish at Roches Point.

EX-EMPLOYEES of the leisure company Nightowls, forced into liquidation, were last night given the thumbs up by Cork clubs to retain the novel pay-to-play night soccer league.

Conditions for all fleets were extremely light again to-day.
