Johnny Moriarty was the third Tipperary man to hurl senior for Kilkenny. His bid for an All-Ireland medal in 1971, with his home county in opposition, wasn’t to be, and left his family torn. But he has no regrets and was a central figure in the rise of the Fenians from Johnstown.
