A south Kilkenny paedophile who "groomed" his victim with games of strip poker and video-recorded one of his sexual assaults on her has been jailed for 10 years by Mr Justice Paul Carney at the Central Criminal Court.

The closing stages have been reached in the trial at the Central Criminal Court of a Lithuanian man who denies that he raped a Russian woman in Waterford last year.

A Lithuanian man has denied in evidence that he raped a Russian woman in Waterford and said that after they had consensual sex he rescued her from a sexual assault by another man.
