CONCERNS were raised last night about how one of the country’s biggest developers was allowed to rename one of Cork’s historic lanes.

THE new developments opening in and around St Patrick’s Street in Cork city are to be welcomed. It is unfortunate, however, that the developers of the new shopping centre at Faulkner’s Lane have apparently seen fit to change the name to the ridiculous “Opera Lane”.
