THE €390 million management buyout of food retail and distribution group BWG was formally completed yesterday, bringing the company back under Irish ownership.

The Irish food-to-go market is worth more than €1.35 billion, but Irish convenience stores must constantly innovate if they are to remain a central part of the retail market, according to BWG Group director Peter Kealy.

Food distributor BWG has appointed Peter Kealy as Group Development Director.
