The High Court has awarded €32,000 to a part time postman who sustained serious head injures as a result of being thrown from his motorbike after a dog ran in front of him.

A MILITARY judge yesterday ordered an Army general who commanded the detention centre at Guantanamo Bay to testify at the court martial of a dog handler in the Abu Ghraib prison scandal.
