Irish startup Pulsate has gained the backing of global payments company PayPal as well as government agencies and a leading investment fund as part of a $1.5m (€1.34m) funding round.

Pulsate, an innovative mobile marketing company founded by Dublin man Patrick Leddy, has secured funding from one of the giants of the global tech scene as part of a funding round led by Delta Partner’s Bank and Enterprise Ireland.

A 25-YEAR-OLD homeless man, whose badly burned body was discovered in a fire at a derelict house in Dublin, was dead from drug poisoning before the blaze erupted, an inquest heard yesterday.
