A top Indonesian al Qaida operative wanted for the 2002 Bali bombings has been arrested in Pakistan, foreign intelligence sources said today.

American and Philippine experts began DNA tests today to determine whether remains found in a jungle grave are of an elusive terror suspect in the 2002 Bali bombings who authorities believe was killed in a clash with US-backed troops.

Troops in the Philippines captured three al Qaida-linked militants but missed two top terror suspects, including an Indonesian wanted for alleged involvement in the 2002 Bali bombings, during a raid on a rebel hide-out today, military officials said.

Police in Indonesia today released photos and sketches of six more suspects in last month’s bombings in Bali.
