Justice Minister Alan Shatter has warned that further Garda stations will face closure next year.

Communities have been put on alert after the Government announced plans for a further raft of Garda station closures next year.

The police service is literally “grinding to a halt” with 350 ageing Garda vehicles having to be retired on average every year and few replacements provided.
