Fermoy 2-13 Fr O’Neill’s 0-11

Last year’s beaten finalists Fr O’Neills came from six points down with five minutes to go to fashion an unlikely two point victory over Barryroe in the opening round of the Cork IHC at Ballygarvan yesterday.

BANDON put on a five star performance to demolish Fr O’Neill’s in a one-sided county IHC final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh and in the process bury the ghosts of 2007.

FR O’NEILL’S had to call on all of their experience to book a place in the Cork IHC final where they will meet either St Catherine’s or Bandon.

IT took extra-time to decide the issue between these teams in an enthralling county IHC first round tie at Mallow on Saturday night.
