A Garda swoop on foot of a warrant on a property near Bandon has recovered family pets, including purebred dogs and vulnerable puppies, taken from a pet farm near Killarney at the weekend.

Thieves who broke into a Fáilte Ireland-approved pet farm at the weekend — snatching family pets as well as prized fowl — may have accessed the property from the main Cork to Killarney road.

Gardaí in Killarney are investigating a robbery at a popular pet farm which saw the owner family’s pets, new-born puppies as well as showcase pheasants removed.
