AN explosion believed caused by a terrorist bomb derailed a train travelling from Chechnya to Moscow during yesterday’s national holiday, injuring at least 15 people.

ONE of two Russian airliners that crashed nearly simultaneously was brought down by a terrorist act officials said yesterday after finding traces of explosives in the plane's wreckage.

THE crashes of two Russian planes on Tuesday brought immediate worries of terrorist attacks - Siberia Airlines said on its website that its air traffic control centre notified it that the Tu-154 had activated a hijack alert.
