THE mother of a baby, whose au pair died rescuing the child from under the wheels of a lorry, has called on trucking companies to act now and not wait for months before installing blind spot mirrors.

NICOLE Naumburger, the German au pair who gave her life to save the 13-month-old Irish girl she was minding, was outgoing, eager to make friends and was planning to return home to study law this summer.
