A global credit card payment service founded by two millionaire brothers from Limerick has partnered with social media giant Twitter to allow users to buy directly from the micro-blogging site.

Twitter has hired Nathan Hubbard, the ex president of Ticketmaster, as its first head of commerce, part of a push to enable shopping via short postings on its social website.
