The Government has announced 219 new school-building projects which will create more than 15,000 jobs over a five-year construction period, according to the Minister for Education, Ruairí Quinn.

TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern has been accused of snubbing the people of Cork over his apparent refusal to meet a delegation of local politicians to discuss the delay in funding a new school of music in the city.
