Gaming specialist Game officially went into administration yesterday, leading to the loss of 125 jobs in 14 stores here.

It has just been announced that 231 Irish jobs are to be axed at retailer Game.

Around 1,000 jobs were axed today when only part of the struggling Greeting Card Group was saved from administration.
