Sandwich chain Subway has said it plans to open 180 new stores across Ireland over the next six years creating 1,800 jobs.

Subway has announced plans to create 1,800 jobs at 180 new outlets over the next six years, with 400 of the positions to be on offer this year.

Fastfood chain Subway plans to pick up the pace of openings in Europe by adding as many as 1,000 new locations in 2014.
